Our Reinforcement/Enrichment Activity Period (REAP) is designed to offer first through eighth grade students the opportunity to apply academic skills to real life activities, in fun and challenging formats.
REAP affords teachers an opportunity to teach and enrich student learning, in what appears to be a “non academic” format, in areas of particular expertise/interest to the teacher.
REAP offers students, otherwise unable to stay for after-school clubs and activities, the opportunity to take part in some of these activities, such as yearbook production, previously only offered after school.
REAP includes mandatory and elective classes. Elective classes give elementary students a sense of control regarding their learning via the new experience of choosing to enroll in an activity/area of interest.
REAP offerings have included:
- Chess
- Manners
- Social Etiquette
- Newspaper Reporting and Publishing
